Choosing study material for upsc exam

Choosing study material is not an easy task and requires proper guidance. It is always a good idea to begin preparation by getting subject basics and details in place. The study materials should be based on the topics you have to cover, for e.g., Indian History, World History, Geography, Economics, Indian Constitution and Governance, International Relations, Environment, Bio-diversity, Technology, Security & Disaster Management, etc. Read one national newspaper daily and noting down the current developments to all the topics given in syllabus.
‘The Hindu’ is the most preferred newspaper by UPSC aspirants, you can access their website too. Another source is NCERT books (from class VI to class XII). It has a good hold on a variety of subjects and information regarding different topics mentioned.Stay updated with what is going around in the world.
